Conference Theme

Transitioning Towards the 3+2 Curriculum in Alignment with ASEAN Architectural Education Standards

The United Architects of the Philippines invites educators, researchers, practitioners, and students to submit original abstracts for presentation at the Asian Architects in the Academe Assembly 2026, to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines.

This international assembly aims to create dialogue and knowledge exchange on the transformation of architectural education in Asia, particularly in the context of ASEAN integration and the evolving 3+2 architecture curriculum model.

1.      Emerging Technologies in Architecture Education (includes AI)

2.      Pedagogy and Learning Strategies

3.      Curriculum Development and Industry Alignment

4.      Student Experiences and Studio Culture

Eligibility Criteria:

Open to all registered and licensed architects in the Philippines, as well as international architects.

Important Dates

Deadline for Abstract Submission: 30 January 2026 (Extended to International Architects Based Overseas)

Notification of Acceptance: February 15, 2025 (Extended to International Architects Based Overseas)

Conference Dates: 14–15 April 2026

Venue: SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Length: 250–400 words

Format:

Title: Clear and concise (max 20 words)
Abstract body: Structured into Introduction/Background, Objectives, Methodology, 

Results/Findings, and Discussion/Implications
Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords

Author Information: Include full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), email address(es), and a short bio (50 words). Indicate the corresponding author.

File Format: Submit as a Word document (.doc/.docx) or PDF, font size 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing, standard margins.

References (Optional): If citing existing works, include 3–5 core references in APA format.

Review and Selection

All submissions will undergo a peer-review process coordinated by the CRAI Scientific Committee. Abstracts will be evaluated based on:

·        Relevance to the conference theme and subtheme

·        Originality and contribution to architectural education

·        Clarity of objectives and methodology

·        Strength of results or anticipated findings

·        Implications for practice, curriculum, or policy

Accepted abstracts and their full papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings and presented during the parallel sessions of the Assembly. 

Authors (s) who will attain the highest impact on the event will receive UAP assistance on publishing for IEREK.
