For Bachelor of Architecture Students
The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), through the Committee on Research and Academic Institutions (CRAI) of the Commission on Education (COE), invites submissions for the Undergraduate Research Poster Presentation of Study, highlighting the academic and creative excellence of Bachelor of Architecture students across the country.
Theme:
“Architecture as Research: Building Knowledge, Building the Nation”
This national competition seeks to recognize outstanding undergraduate research that advances architecture as both a scholarly and design discipline — promoting innovation, cultural rootedness, environmental stewardship, and social impact.
Eligibility:
- Open to graduating students and recent graduates from CHED-accredited architecture programs in the Philippines.
- Works must have been completed within the last two academic years.
Submission Requirements:
- Research Title
- Background of the Study (100-150 words)
- Main Reseach Problems and Subproblems
- Methodology
- Conceptual / Theoretical Framework
- Student Bionote and School Logo
- Other relevant photos, Illustrations, tables, and data
- References (APA 7th Edition Format)
Evaluation Criteria:
| Research Impact and Innovation | 30% | ||
| Shows that the research has the capability to advance knowledge, solve complex problems, or create novelapplications in the field of architecture | |||
| Research Design and Frameworks | 30% | ||
| Indicates that the research problem is justified and the student knows what research problems to solveand objectives to formulate. | |||
| Research Methodology | 20% | ||
| Methodology is relevant to the research and gives a thorough analysis of how the research will be carried out. | |||
| Completeness and Overall Presentation | 20% | ||
| The board is engaging, and the information laid out on the board is easily understood. |
Important Dates:
- Deadline for Submission: January 30, 2026
- Announcement of Finalists: February 28, 2026
- Final Presentation and Awarding Ceremony: April 15, 2026
Awards and Recognition:
Selected researchers will have the chance to present their thesis during the AAA2026 and publication opportunities in the UAP International Research in Architecture Education Proceedings. Posters will also be exhibited during the National Convention.
Winners will receive a trophy.
